I enjoyed this piece! The writer clearly knows love and has been on both extreme ends of it spectrum. That’s obvious from the level of passion and intensity in which she reflects on her “past love”. The only thing that I would say in defense of the dense who love (e.i. ME and others I’m sure) is that some times you can have all the love in the world from your partner and not know love. Love is some thing you learn as a child threw examples and then through real world practical application. If you have no example of love or what a good and healthy love is (other than tv, poems and songs) you can not receive all the love another has in store for you! Love radiates from the core of your being and is projected in and onto everyone in your life. A “past love” would ask me often “when is love enough?”, enough to sustain the good, bad and ugly of which the author speaks. And whatever happened to the age old adage “if you love some thing let it go and if it comes back its truly yours?” Does this prove true if you have to pray, hope, wish and dream that it grows with you or that the love you projected on some1 makes a lasting imprint and follows you like a loyal fan on twitter years later? I know love for my self NOW and for others bcz I’ve had real love shine upon me like the sun on my shoulders. I remember love, know love and still want love and all the challenges it brings for better or worst bcz it is how u how you’re alive! I rather be alive then dead any day with love in my heat or what maybe left of it…
Great article! Love can definitely take you on a roller coaster ride of emotional highs and lows. But essentially, love makes life worth living. And love can no more be devalued by what people do in its name than religion can be for the atrocities committed in its name since the beginning of time. Love is good, but sometimes people aren’t.
Excellent Article! I myself fight with different views on love all the time and reading this article put some things in perspective. Once again excellent piece. ;o)
“Love” is definitely easier said than done. It takes a lot of patience, commitment, dedication and patience, patience but most of all sacrifice to stand the test of time. I haven’t reached that stage yet but when I get there I know I have good friends I can get advice from

Correction on the previous post. I meant to say “”Marriage” is easier said than done.
